Description

I thought I had an issue already open for this somewhere, but anyway...

Not sure how general this should be, but the motivating use case here is to have a per-directory (or at least a per-project) setting for 'wildignore' (really, g:CommandTWildIgnore). This could be as general and flexible as checking for a settings file per-directory (or in the project root), or it could be more specific, and related only to 'wildignore' settings.

Motivating use case:

  • In the Corpus project, I generally want to ignore the "dist" directory

One thing that occurs to me as a stop-gap... In the Corpus repo, ag doesn't have this problem because it respects .gitignore and therefore knows to ignore "dist". I could use the Command-T Git-based scanner to get the same behavior "for free" (at the cost of having to do this across-the board for all repos on my laptop).

I think I'll do this, but I still want the per-directory config (for example, being able to set the scanner per-directory would be useful too).

Ah, found the issue (ticket #2181). Will close this one.
