Description

One other request, and thanks again: will it be possible to assign a hotkey that allows access to the global menu without mousing over the menu extra and clicking it?

Great idea. Thanks for submitting it. I don't know if it is possible to pop up a menu like that programmatically, at least in an officially supported way. I'll have a look through the documentation and see if I can find something.

It might be possible to do it in a hackish way by programmatically simulating a mouse click on the menu bar; ugly but it might work.
