Description

From a user email: "Is it possible to either have the option of the information that is displayed in the floater instead be 1. displayed in the menu bar or 2. displayed even smaller so that it fits in the menu bar without any overhang.

I am always searching for a way to keep my work area clean and instead place utitilites in the menu bar's large space of my 23" screen. :)"

The second option is already covered by bug #27. Opening this bug report to cover the first option.

Created an attachment (id=136) How I'd like this feature to look

(From update of attachment 136) Sorry, Wincent, for adding a duplicate—I didn't see this thread. Anyway, in terms of functionality, I'd like to see Synergy essentially do the same as Barquee, which looks like it won't make it to Intel. In the theme I created, the text is in the standard Mac OS font (although this should be configurable), and this expands and contracts rightwards, depending on the information. A maximum width can be set, and if there are too many app menu items, the iTunes info is simply not shown.

Like the person who started this thread, I like to keep things on my Mac clean, and with widescreen monitors now being so common, I think the menu bar would be a great place for this information to go. Here's hoping!

(From update of attachment 136) I've used Synergy forever. I just started using TuneBar for this feature alone. I still use Synergy for everything else and I disable all other features in TuneBar. It would be nice to have all features in Synergy so I could get rid of TuneBar because it's not very stable. Once the transition to Leopard is complete I'll be able to get back to working on feature additions, so I'll be able to tackle this then. At the moment have to iron out the remaining incompatibilities with Leopard, and get all my products up and running on it.
