Description

From a user email: "Several times now (every time I've used it since 1.4), Synergy locks up after a menu bar button press. The Preference pane still functions, and can stop and restart synergy."

For what it's worth, I don't think this is a problem specific to 1.4, but it will occur in any version when Synergy is waiting for a response from iTunes. Album cover downloads are in another thread, but communications with iTunes are not, because they should be instant (in theory!). There seem to be a number of cases where iTunes doesn't respond (for example, when it has an information window open) and Synergy just spins waiting for it.

This won't be an issue in Synergy Advance because communications with iTunes are in a separate thread (actually, my most recent design has the communications occurring in an entirely different process; still not sure if this is the final form I will use).

Any word on if the new comms engine in 1.5b fixes the problem?

Due to lack of activity on this bug I am going to close it and mark it as a duplicate of bug #39. (Although that bug was filed later on, the report is more specific and it contains a lot more detailed information about the hang. This bug report is a bit too vague to be useful.)
